Spencer Richey
Spencer is the founder of Sound Stays, a boutique short-term & vacation rental hospitality company. Spencer has a bachelor’s degree in communication and a minor in marketing & sales from the University of Washington, where he played Soccer. He is also a part of the prestigious STR Secrets Mastermind led by Mike Sjogren. A fun fact about Spencer is that he was a professional soccer player in Major League Soccer for 10 seasons, including playing for the Seattle Sounders.
Spencer was a real estate investor long before he started Sound Stays. He launched his 1st Short-Term Rental property in Seattle in 2016 and his 2nd in 2021. Spencer quickly realized the income potential of short term rentals, and combined with his passion for team building and real estate — Sound Stays was born.
Gabby Patterson
Gabby Patterson is the Head of Operations at Sound Stays. With a background in certified project management, including 10 years at Boeing, she oversees daily operations, optimizes systems, and ensures consistent, high quality experiences for both our owners & guests.
Gabby built her short-term rental expertise from the ground up through years of managing a vacation rental cleaning business, giving her hands-on experience in quality control, operational excellence, and guest readiness. Known for her attention to detail and commitment to owners and guests, she approaches each property with care and accountability to ensure every stay meets the Sound Stays standard.
